Once the issue was identified, the older credentials were rolled back and then re-rotated with new ones. The Gateway is operating normally.

The Gateway was using static credentials. Due to the credential rotation cadence, the new credentials were not applied correctly across all Gateway pods, causing role assumption to fail.
